About tthe time Groves arrived at the Survey Research Center at Michigan I was a visiting professor of statistics there and have followed its work closely. The Center he runs is the world's leading center for surveys and has never been accused of partisanship. RJJensen 08:30, 23 May 2009 (EDT)

Well, fine, but that personal opinion wouldn't justify taking out what the Supreme Court said about his approach to the 1990 Census, or some of the other deletions concerning that Census.--Andy Schlafly 08:58, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
I don't think there's a serious political issue here in 2009, and certainly not about Groves. He and many statisticians (I was one of them) were involved in debates about sampling in 1990 (I was opposed), and the Supreme Court made a decision that allows most sampling, except in the totals used to apportion the House.
