I removed this section:
Steps
- To prevent human rabies deaths through preventative and reactive
measures: Focusing on mass vaccination of domestic dogs Prompt and appropriate administration of human post-exposure prophylaxis – PEP
- To alleviate the burden of rabies in animal species, primarily through
mass dog vaccination: Preventing rabies outbreaks in wild animal populations, particularly endangered species Preventing animal suffering and improving community attitudes towards animals Reducing livestock losses
- To promote education of major target groups, focusing on:
The general public in rabies endemic areas, principally children between 5-15 years of age Human and animal health workers and field personnel Wildlife agencies and wildlife management personnel
- To undertake and promote surveillance of rabies in human and
animal populations: To provide more accurate estimates of rabies disease burden and raise awareness To optimize the use of post-exposure vaccines and immunoglobulin in people To evaluate the impact of disease control measures
Not only is it a direct copy/paste from here[1], but it is describing an organization's goals, not the rabies disease. It also has horrible problems with grammar.
I removed incorect information about rabies, including 95% of all human rabies cases come from dogs, and that rabies is invarriably fatal.--Microbe 13:46, 15 July 2009 (EDT)
