- Yes, it is. Although not along the lines of Wedgwood - it's more artisanal. A family friend of ours was one of the managers of the village during the 70s and we used to holiday there. But thirty years ago and my memory has dimmed. I think that the daughter or niece of the original architect of Portmeirion made some china and pottery which she sold in a shop built specially for her in the resort. Now it's quite a big business selling crockery and ornaments in department stores. We have quite a lot of it downstairs in the kitchen. Hope that helps. Ajkgordon 17:22, 12 January 2008 (EST)
