allegedly American-born, possibly Muslim

That's what CP's article clearly states. AliceBG 23:26, 3 September 2008 (EDT)

This is a disambiguation page. Lets keep the descriptions short and non-controversial. HenryS 23:28, 3 September 2008 (EDT)
What's so controversial about the claims? Surely CP would never make anything other than substantiated, documented and FACTUAL claims about important political figures. Facts are facts - they are not controversial. Allegations may be controversial, but surely not the facts in our articles. AliceBG 23:30, 3 September 2008 (EDT)
You've made your point. The edit you are trying to make here is not going to happen. Please go to the Talk:Barack Obama page and present your case there. Thanks! HenryS 23:33, 3 September 2008 (EDT)

Should this be a disambiguation page?

I don't know if this should be a disambiguation page. If Conservapedia allows pages to be created that list anyone who shares a specific name, the pages get really long really fast. For instance, that would make the Peter page on Wikipedia be unmaintainable.

The subtle but key distinction is usually whether someone is called (either verbally or in formal writing) just "Peter" or just "Obama" (and the speaker expects people to understand who they're talking about). As far as I know, this isn't the case for Michelle Obama or George Obama. Which leaves only one entry, which means we probably don't need a disambiguation page.

It's certainly reasonable to rename this "list of members of the Obama family" or "list of people named Obama", but if you call it a disambiguation page, people get the urge to link to it from the top of lots of articles, and otherwise get the wrong idea about what the page is for. --Interiot 16:22, 4 September 2008 (EDT)
