"Foxborough" and/or "Foxboro"?

What's the official spelling of the toponym of that particular town? Because I see people use both, but the original spelling must have been "Foxborogh", right? It looks like "Foxboro" is more informal. In which situations do they use one spelling instead of the other? --Pepsi-Cola 21:01, 26 June 2007 (EDT)
