Talk:Monte Cassino

Return to "Monte Cassino" page.

Nice article. Can you add the sources? HeartOfGold 15:46, 18 May 2007 (EDT)

  • Andy needed something added in a hurry, Heart. I am sure RobS and I will get back to add the cites soon. You can feel free, if you want, to Google any appropriate. --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 15:48, 18 May 2007 (EDT)
No, that's okay. I am not disputing the accuracy of this article; it is well written. Should we crank out articles without taking the time provide sources for the time being? Or was this a special case that I should not emulate? HeartOfGold 16:31, 18 May 2007 (EDT)
  • It was a special case, as Andy had included an item on the Main Page about this date in history, etc. No one was thinking you were doing anything other than what a good and fair editor would do, see it lacking sources, and suggesting they be added. --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 16:49, 18 May 2007 (EDT)
Okay. I just don't want to rub anybody the wrong way. Thanks for the clarification. HeartOfGoldtalk 22:35, 18 May 2007 (EDT)

Great article. As this is a well written piece, I'd like to ask permission of the authors before I contribute. The Polish awarded a medal (the Monte Cassino Cross) to those who fought in this battle. As two of my family held this honor, may I add the Polish contribution and the medal to the article? Fingermouse 19:01, 22 May 2007 (EDT)

  • I think its a geat idea! Please go ahead tell us of the Pole's honor. --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 09:06, 23 May 2007 (EDT)

Duly added. I may attempt to photograph the Cross awarded to my grandfather for the article at a later date. Fingermouse 09:35, 23 May 2007 (EDT)

  • Fingermouse, that is a great addition! I have many Polish friends here in America and in Poland. I know of their bravery and resolve in WW II, and their friendship for the U.S. If you can make a small picture of the cross, it would be our honor to display it. --Sysop-TK /MyTalk 09:38, 23 May 2007 (EDT)
