Good masks

Yes, rather late, we are realizing that we need proper fitting, certified N95 masks. Life is hard enough at the moment without being afraid to go out, because of the selfish attitude people who lack societal, or family values. No one has any God-given, selfish right to infect others, especially those most vulnerable, like the elderly. --Jackin the box (talk) 16:47, January 26, 2022 (EST)

N95 masks don't work either because they're harder to breathe through than cloth masks and there's still the same issues of rebreathing the wearer's own CO2 and bacteria, along with the possibility of cold germs still finding a way through anyway. Plus, it's those liberals like the "Mask Karens" and those in favor of the deadly CCP flu "vaccines" who are showing real selfish attitudes and lack societal and family values, particularly regarding what basically amounts to just another seasonal common cold/flu variant with a high survival rate. Are you really in favor of denying the elderly in care homes access to family contact, just as the likes of Andrew Cuomo, Gretchen Whitmer and Gavin Newsome have done? Northwest (talk) 17:11, January 26, 2022 (EST)
Thanks, Northwest, I follow what my local medical officer, doctor, etc. recommends, not any politicians, nor any other unqualified sources. But, certainly the mental health of all is also important. Yes, breathing through a mask can be a problem for someone elderly, like me, when walking fast (especially uphill!). As you don't believe in masks, I hope that you are avoiding crowded places. So it's just another flu – I wonder what all the dead would say? Fortunately the omicron variant seems less deadly – other than, perhaps, to the unvaccinated - still where I live many many more have died in the last month, or so than hitherto, even though we have a 90%+ vaccination rate. Because there have been so many more cases. Fortunately people here have a long tradition of caring about their neighbours, as the high vaccination rates indicate. Stay safe. --Jackin the box (talk) 17:58, January 26, 2022 (EST)
Sorry I missed the citation, because of the very long complex-sentence. But Life Site News doesn't seem a reliable source, or at the very least it is a controversial one. So, maybe, another source should be substituted – or a second one that confirms the reliability of this "suspect" source. In a case like this a really sound source is needed. By the way you might check out the "mask nerd" on YouTube. --Jackin the box (talk) 18:20, January 26, 2022 (EST)
Truth be told, LifeSiteNews is a more reliable source for news than CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, any of the so-called "fact checking" sites or any other liberal media outlet is or has been throughout this whole boondoggle as LSN does its due diligence and actually provides sources to back up their reports, whereas the liberal media groups mentioned above have only either their own say-so or get their claims from "sources" that also rely only on their own say-so or on manufactured and politically-motivated claims that don't pass the smell/taste test under scrutiny. As for those who say they're "caring" about their neighbors by recommending getting the "vaccine" injections, I wonder what they have to say now with the increasing amount of "vaccine"-related deaths now coming to light? Northwest (talk) 21:11, January 26, 2022 (EST)
Don’t you listen to your doctor, and don’t you, and your family take any medication? Yes, people die of side effects, if they don’t get treatment soon enough, but they have a far, far greater chances of dying from covid (x1,000,000, or more times). I wish politicians, and politically motivated web sites, would shut up and leave matters to medical professionals! The Russians and others are spreading so much misinformation. Anyhow, we will probably continue to disagree, so I will not waste your time any more.--Jackin the box (talk) 09:08, January 27, 2022 (EST)
In reality, many doctors and so-called "medical professionals" (many of which have been exposed as not being actual licensed medical professionals, but come from other professions and are politically-motivated activists pretending to be such[1]) have become compromised and paid off by Big Pharma to push prescription medications that have side effects (and because of them, may end up not only doing nothing for the illnesses they are purported to treat - for example, medications claiming to treat tardive dyskinesia caused by mental health prescriptions, but which may not only do nothing to treat it in many cases, but actually end up aggravating TD symptoms - and in many cases, end up causing side effects which can be life-threatening) and the CCP flu "vaccines" now being pushed are now among the worst such examples, as has become well-documented (but ignored by the liberal media and their Democrat masters to cover for Big Pharma). No, more people are now dying of the side effects being caused by the "vaccines" than are being claimed to have died from "COVID-19", and ignoring that inconvenient fact for the sake of a political narrative only causes trouble for those who hold that narrative and who act as apologists for Big Pharma in the long run (including the real misinformation spreaders, the Democrats and similar liberal political parties and their liberal media cheerleaders) once the truth comes to light, as it has and continues to. @Jackinthebox - Comment: Accusing "the Russians" of spreading "misinformation" isn't the way to go about building your own credibility. RobSLet's Go Brandon! 20:38, January 27, 2022 (EST)

Agreed, sadly, nothing is black or white, as the opioid crisis has revealed (article needed). Re vaccines: my son suffered no childhood diseases, other than minor colds, thanks to numerous vaccines, but I had several, including being quarantined for scarlet fever. I also grew up, in the 1950s, seeing lucky survivors of polio in leg irons. Anti-vaccers really need to read this Conservapedia polio article. Hence my faith in vaccines, including those against pneumonia, flu, and shingles received in recent months. Anyhow stay safe and follow the health guidelines.--Jackin the box (talk) 10:45, January 27, 2022 (EST)

Something else to note - most folks are not opposed to vaccines per se, just to the experimental mRNA gene therapy drugs being falsely pushed as "vaccines" by their Big Pharma manufacturers, which do nothing to boost the immune systems of those who get injected with them, but instead cause them to suffer their immune systems being compromised and broken down (paving the way for diseases such as various types of cancer, and reportedly even AIDS[2]), as well as the development of life-threatening cardiovascular, neurological and other health issues that have also been documented. As the number of "vaccine"-related deaths increases, it'll reach the point (if it hasn't already) where Big Pharma, the liberal politicians in office who accept their bribes to push the "vaccines" and the liberal media who cover for both will no longer be able to hide what's happening without what's left of their credibility going down the drain completely, that much is clear. RobS, Re Russian conspiracy theories, I was probably over-reacting to the opening sentences from the Putin article. Sorry, but I see him as a Stalin clone. --Jackin the box (talk) 10:07, January 28, 2022 (EST)

Yah, you and the DNC/CIA horse you rode in on. RobSLet's Go Brandon! 13:34, January 28, 2022 (EST)
I'm neither a Democrat, nor fan of the CIA, and while I don't like Putin, I think that he has a point with regard to Ukraine. Regarding Covid 19, does following the advice medical professionals, rather than that of bloggers, disqualify me from voicing my views? I imagine you would listen to your doctor if you had a serious injury, or illness, so why the problem with these vaccines, and with masks? Furthermore, isn't the Johnson and Johnson vaccine also available, which "is a carrier, or virus vector, vaccine" (Yale Medicine). --Jackin the box (talk) 16:49, January 28, 2022 (EST)
I dunno, I didn't really read all of this discussion. Are you making the assumption Dr. Fauci is a "medical professional"? RobSLet's Go Brandon! 17:39, January 28, 2022 (EST)
All I know is that numerous administration, including that of President Trump, have employed Fauci. It should be easy enough to check when, and where he graduated, as well as papers, and any books, published by him, etc. See, for example --Jackin the box (talk) 18:03, January 28, 2022 (EST)
Oh, I get it, you're saying Dr. Fauci is a medical professional. You apparently are out of the loop. We've moved past these discussions over a year ago. We can see why you are so ill-informed, what with the level of liberal censorship and all in recent years. But it really is sort of pointless to re-hash discussion at which a consensus was arrived at some time ago. It's bad luck for slow learners. RobSLet's Go Brandon! 22:58, January 28, 2022 (EST)
