- Trump downplayed the pandemic at first. He repeatedly engaged in wishful thinking and denialism and talked about the pandemic fading away soon. And how it was supposedly fading. Rather than take the bull the horns, he unfortunately engaged in denialism which helped the virus to spread. On top of this, he politicized masks which help mitigate coronavirus spread, but are not a panacea.

- On the other hand, Trump did shut down air travel from China faster than most political people wanted to. And he did develop ventilators/vaccines faster than expected. He also sent a hospital ship and tents to NYC. So Trump was a mixed bag when it came to tackling/mitigating the pandemic.
- But at the end of the day, there are only so much Trump could do when it came to mitigating the pandemic. Americans can be very oppositional and there is widespread distrust of the government and the media. America has a lot of immigrants from Europe and Asia so that helped bring the virus into the USA. States have a lot of power in the USA and can thwart sensible federal policies and unfortunately chains are often as strong as their weakest links (In other words, states that mismanage their pandemic response, help spread the virus to neighboring states and thru people traveling via the interstate highway system and planes.). On top of this, a large swath of America is overweight and have preventable underlying conditions that increase morbidity when people got infected with coronavirus. Trump naively accepted Fauci's advice in good faith, not realizing Fauci was the duplicitous piece of crap in bed with Shi Zhengli that he is. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to discover that a large portion of America is obese. Just look out your window or go downtown in a city.

- Objectivity is PRECISELY why we're failing. In fact, objectivity was created by Voltaire and his ilk to subtly push poison into Christianity and overturn it when they created their Encyclopedie (and this was backed up by the likes of Timothy Dwight). In fact, just ask User:Progressingamerica, he'll tell you that objective news is far from objective and meant to default to a leftist point of view from inception. As far as the obesity thing, here's the thing, obesity tends to be a very loose term that could be defined by differing cultures. For example, in Japan, someone with large breasts and a slim figure technically qualifies as obese, even when it's obvious they aren't obese at all. If I'm going to go by obese, there is to be a very fixed and precise definition, one that literally cannot be missed, like Vladimir Harkonnen for example, or Paulonious. And I can assure you, speaking as someone who's working at Good Will, I've encountered quite a few customers who are closer to thin than obese, even if somewhat shapely at times. Trump's DC hotel is for sale
I would call this an indication that Trump is no longer running for president: "Trumps Selling Prized Washington, D.C., Hotel for $375 Million." Surely the hotel would be worth a lot more money if Trump became president again. Trump has said he will make an announcement about running after the midterms. - Kamala's approval rating is below Biden's. That's hard to recover from. By 2024 she is a known quantity, he is not. No one is fooled by her. - Trump needs cash. One of Trump's banks said they would not lend to him anymore - namely Deutsch Bank. And then there is the legal fees. And Covid-19 affecting hotel receipts to his hotels. In addition, when he ran for president, he automatically caused a lot of wealthy people in urban areas to hate his guts so that hurt his brand. My guess is that Trump's rural, non-college-educated fan base is not the type of people who go to Trump Hotels.

Buttigieg is no longer the only contender in the veepstakes. Now there is Liz Cheney: "Liz Cheney's anti-Trump crusade will end her career or make her a White House contender." The Dems better hurry up and do whatever it is they are going to do. The new veep has to be confirmed by a majority in both houses. With the price of heating oil and gas skyrocketing and the Democrat's antipathy to domestic energy producers in the gas/oil sectors, it makes you wonder. Besides incompetence, a defining characteristic of Joe Biden and his administration is stubbornness. So who knows how long this foolishness will last. People indoctrinated into political ideologies often ignore basic common sense. The Soviet Union dragged on for about 70 years. Jimmy Carter was often incompetent, but he seems less stubborn than Biden. It's partly a reflection of the American press being more compliant towards Democrats now.
America had energy independence under Donald Trump.
It's too bad that basic economics is not taught in primary/secondary schools.
My guess is that many of those states will foolishly vote for Democrats again. Israel wandered in the desert for 40 years. Maybe Northeasterners will wander in their proverbial wilderness of high energy costs for a long stretch.

Blacks have an internal mechanism, probably handed down generationally, where they try or can detect racist attitudes among non-blacks through body language, eye contact, and words and greetings when they meet a stranger. It then affects an employment or personal relationship if a relationship is established.
- I saw an old black friend in public just the other day I hadn't seen in a few years. He asked me if he could hug me. Chinese govt tries to hire 2 popular youtubers to lie about covid
Two Youtubers, one American [10] and one South African [11], spent about 10 years traveling throughout China on motorcycles and posting youtube videos about China. Both are fluent in Chinese. They left China about a year ago before being arrested and held hostage. Since then, they have reported separately on their channels stories about their experience that would have got them in trouble with the Chinese government during their 10 years in China. They have even aired somewhat their differences of opinion regarding issues related to China over the past year. Now, within minutes, both report the Chinese government has attempted to hire and bribe them to create Youtube videos to lie about Chinese involvement in the covid crisis.
