I would say that Willy Russell was actually a better 'representative' playwright, as while Carla Lane has had TV series, Russell has had major success with movies such as Shirley Valentine & Educating Rita, as well as musicals such as Blood Brothers. --CatWatcher 20:10, 6 April 2007 (EDT)

It amazes me at how bad this article is, St. Helens is not in Liverpool, neither is Tranmere. MerseyBeat wasn't based in Liverpool...
It seems simple fact checking has gone astray. Why is this article locked?
