"Developmentally handicapped" is a good example to see the evolution of politically correct language and idioms. It is/was grammatically incorrect. When people first heard "developmentally handicapped", the direct object was missing - "person". It sounded de-humanizing. But the Marxist-controlled academic institutions, together with their sister government bureaucrats got away with de-humanizing people to their faces, and whole fields of study and bureaucratic politically correct (another term missing an object) language flourished.
Interpersonal relations go far beyond the workplace. In fact, many workplace environments discourage or outright bar interpersonal relations. RobSZelensky Must Go! 14:13, August 17, 2025 (EDT)
