I am removing the painting of Martha Washington. While it was based on a head-and-shoulders painting by Stuart, this portrait was actually painted by Eliphalet Frazer Andrews in 1878. [1]

Based on a Gilbert Stuart painting does not make it a Gilbert Stuart painting. You are absolutely correct. Karajou 13:10, 8 August 2011 (EDT)

Credited, yes, but I don't believe it belongs on Stuart's page. It would be better to include the original instead. See here. --SharonW 22:42, 8 August 2011 (EDT)
