Please don't excise whole chunks of an article on the basis of 'misleading statistics' without explaining what's misleading about them and opening the subject up for discussion first. --Britinme 19:20, 15 April 2007 (EDT)

The article said that equal pay for equal work is the law, and then cites statistics on pay being unequal. Does that mean that someone is violating the law? It is confusing. Then it gives some possible explanations for the differences, but omits the more obvious ones. RSchlafly 19:38, 15 April 2007 (EDT)
I was attempting to give some of the history leading up to the Equal Pay Act. If you feel it was confusing, why not try rewriting it to keep the historical background leading to the current status? That would be in keeping with the encyclopedic nature of this project. In the meantime I will revert the edit until you do that. --Britinme 20:10, 15 April 2007 (EDT)
