This has nothing to do with conservatism
Many "gators" aren't conservatives and the movement is not what it seems. Many of its leading members have backgrounds shadier than the Kennedy's and it has harassed even conservatives that disagree with them. They are simply a bunch of liberal kiddies that have decided to fight for a nonsensical cause instead of real causes. They support violence in video games and this has motivated them to harass and damage others. --Britishpatriot 17:56, 23 July 2015 (EDT)
- Article on GamerGate at a recognized conservative website: GamerGate Destroys Max Read. Gamergate opposes social justice warrior influence in the electronic game industry. Its proponents are a mix of libertarians, conservatives and men's rights activists. Conservative 18:09, 23 July 2015 (EDT)
- Here is an article which mentions Gamergate favorably at Britain's conservative The Spectator: Why social justice warriors are losing. The article mentions the controversial book The Bell Curve. I really don't know much about IQ tests and how precisely they measure fluid intelligence. For example, how much cultural bias affects intelligence tests. That topic doesn't interest me too much as I take a broader view of intelligence (see: Theory of multiple intelligences and various forms of intelligence). Conservative 18:23, 23 July 2015 (EDT)
The conservative website Breitbart has some good things to say about Gamergate also:
- The authoritarian left was on course to win the culture wars then along came Gamergate, Breitbart news
- I am writing a book on Gamergate, Breittbart news
- The Gamergate movement is making terrific progress. Don't stop now, Breittbart news Conservative 18:33, 23 July 2015 (EDT)
- By the way, Shockofgod likes Call to Duty and I don't think he would like a feminized version of the game. :) I personally don't play computer games. Conservative 18:43, 23 July 2015 (EDT)
- I don't disagree with their cause but they are doing some pretty nasty stuff. I don't think that praising OWS is a good thing either, though many members of the movement seem to - many have said that they agree with its "goals". Plus they've spent more time attacking some youtube personality than anything else and have some connections to Stormfront. For the record, I don't like Kotaku or whatever website anyhow. --Britishpatriot 15:44, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
- I don't play video games and I have a cursory knowledge of GamerGate.

- One thing I do know though is that leftists often level spurious charges at the opposition without providing any real evidence. In addition, they will often pick out a few black sheep out of a large movement and then play the guilt by association game.
- In addition, I know that feminists/liberals have very low ethical standards and tend to be pro-abortion. For example, they have long supported Planned Parenthood which recently got caught in a scandal involving wanting to sell dead baby body parts of babies they murdered. Conservative 17:15, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
- I should provide sources. Internet Aristocrat, a gamergate YouTuber, talked about how OWS was good but too disorganised. The head of 8chan - which has largely been used by members of the movement - recently wrote an article for SF on eugenics. I, like many, were disgusted by the planned parenthood ordeal. Apologies if I came off as a leftist, I sometimes slip into that mentality, owing to my background and being surrounded by leftists IRL. --Britishpatriot 19:56, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
OK. No problem. It looks like the secular left is fizzling out anyways - especially as the century unfolds. See: Desecularization. Conservative 21:55, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
