It's ridiculous to say "Though raised in a Christian family..." as if Christianity suggests that Hubble should have lied about what he observed. Indeed, the religious references seem entirely out of context and unimportant to the article. Hubble saw what he saw--what anyone could see with a $400 telescope and an additionl $200 of extra equipment--and published the details regarding his observations.

A link supporting the statement that he was "devout" would be useful.

The first link at the bottom is a general description of the Big Bang that doesn't mention Hubble. The second has only once sentence that says "Despite his Christian upbringing, Hubble believed..." but it makes no statement as to what level of religiosity he had during his upbringing or as an adult.
