Russia was not an ally of Nazi Germany. They signed a non-aggresion pact which was only installed so Hitler could attack Poland with out Russian retribution --Snotbowst 21:13, 1 March 2008 (EST)

They were not allies, but they did work together. Poland was partitioned between Russia and Germany. Stalin had his own plans for conquest, such as Finland, and Hitler had his plans. There was no warning of a rift before Hitler's invasion. Learn together 22:15, 1 March 2008 (EST)

I agree - Poland was partitioned between them by prior agreement, and the USSR provided Germany with strategic raw materials and goods right up to 'zero hour' on 22 June 1941. Koba 05:49, 2 March 2008 (EST)
