In the United States there is very little understanding about the historical political positions in Argentina. I would like to clarify them but I do not have enough language skills.

• The government of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was not seen as a Peronist government although it used its symbology.

• The government of General Juan Domingo Perón was a democratically elected nationalist and Catholic government with a complex doctrine.
