This film was made in 1984, about the time, and probably in response to President Reagan awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom Award to Whitikker Chambers. Reagan was criticized on the left for awarding the Medal of Freedom to a communist who betrayed his country. It was still another 10 years - after both Nixon and Hiss' death - that KGB & FBI archives confirmed the veracity of Chambers allegations. RobS^{The Truth.
