Capitalization

I'm not sure--is "Vitamin" supposed to be capitalized in sentence case? I often see it lower case, but that could be technically wrong. --DavidB4 (TALK) 16:33, 23 October 2020 (EDT)

I do see the term in lowercase as well, though it might be better to capitalize it. —LTMay D.C., his mother, and I.S. be all well! Friday, 17:27, 23 October 2020 (EDT)
It's an optional thing when it comes to grammar. I usually don't capitalize it because it is not a proper noun. Here's a Reddit thread about it. https://www.reddit.com/r/NoStupidQuestions/comments/3v44oy/grammatically_why_shouldnt_the_word_vitamin_be/ Sievert 81 (talk) 17:44, 23 October 2020 (EDT)
I just tended to notice that the CP style is to capitalize more often than not in certain optional situations; for one example, the "District" in Template:Officeholder/representative is capitalized even if doesn't need to be. —LTMay D.C., his mother, and I.S. be all well! I will let you have the final say here, but I just think we should follow the book here. Sievert 81 (talk) 18:14, 23 October 2020 (EDT)
