McInerney was falsely accused of a hate crime, and it looks like his trial (which he won a hung jury at) did not even hear all the evidence in his favor. You're right that sexual harassment does not warrant murder, but no one claims it would.--Andy Schlafly 21:44, 22 November 2011 (EST)

I think the jury was hung on the hate crime thing, not the actual crime. Regardless, I think that in the end justice has been served. McInerney is going to prison for murder.--CamilleT 21:47, 22 November 2011 (EST)

The TV programme you cited says six jurors claimed that all 12 didn't believe it was a hate crime. All the other sources I've seen say that the jury was hung on this point. How do you know your citation is correct? Are you just citing the source that suits your argument? HollyS 12:39, 23 November 2011 (EST)
