Sowell and Scruton

It seems to me that Thomas Sowell and Roger Scruton present the same difficulty: both authors have been so prolific as to risk over-balancing this list, at least in its nascency. I think Scruton's 'Modern Philosophy: An Introduction and Survey' should be read by every intelligent English-speaker on God's green earth, frankly (and you can make a start for free on Google Books btw), but others will wish his more polemical works to be represented. I haven't read enough Sowell to make a proper judgment, but there's no doubt he should be in the list, too. -J Psircleback (talk) 02:51, August 7, 2021 (EDT)

I have resolved this problem by creating a sister page for conservative authors. I have also removed Walt Disney Comics, not so much because they're fiction as that they're comics, ie not books at all. Since all the others listed are non-fiction, I have made that the subject of the list. I do feel works of fiction should be listed separately; I am agnostic as to whether this should be a new list on the same page or another page altogether (see also Essay:Greatest_Conservative_Novels). By the same token, the two sister pages could be merged - although it seems to me that precious little would be gained by doing so. -J Psircleback (talk) 11:44, August 9, 2021 (EDT)
