Enough time has gone by now to begin discussing openly why Christopher Stevens remained in Benghazi, and why he had to die. Stevens was overseeing the transfer of captured weapons from the Ghadaffi regime to Syria for the uprising against Assad. This was on orders of the President and the Secretary of State. His retroactive knowledge gives every reason why the President and Secretary of State wanted him dead. The story is not fully articulated in various investigations out of respect for Steven's reputation and consideration to his family. Nevertheless, it's even a larger story of betrayal than has been portrayed in public hearings.
