Jeremiah4-22 is correct about the Catholic Church considering the beaver a fish. I'll see if I can dig up a source somewhere, but the decision has to do with Aquinas' focus on habits of animals, rather than their genus. --AKjeldsen 17:49, 26 April 2007 (EDT)

Indeed. As strange as it is, it was classified a fish apparently because it spends so much time in the water. Here's a cite
