Talk:Axiom of Infinity

What? This article needs serious work, there is no debate among any mathematicians or philosophers that I've ever heard of that infinite sets exist - just take the set {1,2,3,...}. Where does that set end, then? JacobB 20:13, 4 January 2010 (EST)

I'm not sure, but I think the debate is whether an infinite set only theoretically exists. Levitican 20:45, 4 January 2010 (EST)
Excellent, excellent point Levitican. Material about the physical reality of anything hardly belongs in a mathematics article, a subject for which the real world is a special case. I have taken the material in question and placed it into a new section, but not removed it because it is the work of valued contributors here. JacobB 20:50, 4 January 2010 (EST)
