Talk:Atheists and dog meat eating

I would just like to say, I do not believe that there is a tie between atheism and dog eating. East Asian countries have had dog meat in their cuisine for hundreds of years, before atheism from communist rule was a thing. It is just a correlation that these countries are both atheist and eat dogs, not a causative link between the two. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by [[User:|]] [[User talk:|(talk)]]
- Atheism existed before communism. So what worldview prevailed in the areas before communism? In addition, you are not providing any sources for your contentions. Next, there is the issue of whether or not they should continue their dog eating. In addition, there is the issue of how humane their current practice of raising/slaughtering dogs is. There is also the issue of eating stolen dogs. Next, there is no real dispute that these atheists are eating dogs so even if your contentions are accurate, it is still a part of Eastern atheist contemporary culture which is at variance with Western culture which has a Christian heritage.
- Protestant nations have very low rates of dog eating. Zhejiang province in China has one of the largest Protestant populations of China.[1] In 2011, Jinhua, another city in east China's Zhejiang Province canceled its 600-year old dog meat festival after massive opposition.[2] South Korea is becoming Christianized with Protestantism being a big part of that. And in South Korea the rate of dog eating is declining.[3] Protestants make up about 20% of the South Korea population.[4] Conservative (talk) 02:57, September 29, 2022 (EDT)
