Talk:Atheistic denial
I would venture that the phrase "obvious truths" should be change per the guidelines and commandments, but I'm not going to change it myself. HelpJazz 11:28, 17 February 2008 (EST)
Some proof of these "obvious truths" would be nice. Barikada 19:52, 4 March 2008 (EST)
Really
1. All the atheists I know believe fervently in love, some are even married. 2. What about the Jewish scientists? :) 3. In no public school do they discuss God, much less deny his existence. 4. I'd say that more religious people do (if only for the reason that there are more religious people them atheists). 5. Isn't migration instinct?

Insanity and suicide
I'm completely unaware of any tendency by atheists to deny that some atheists have gone insane or committed suicide. Can someone please provide some details and resources? Wandering 22:53, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
- I think I had to debate someone on this site about that, who was denying it. Perhaps a search can find that denial.--Aschlafly 22:59, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
- Does a single denial indicate a tendency? Afterall, I'm fairly sure there is more than one atheist in the world. Wandering 23:25, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
History
No, I don't think atheism goes back more than 150-200 years. I'm inclined to revert the last edit but will forbear pending discussion.--Aschlafly 23:11, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
Christian explanation
Looking at point four for a moment, I see I am told that atheists apparently: deny obvious truths such as how materialism fails to explain basic phenomena, such as butterfly migration and homing by birds. Am I therefore to understand there is a specifically Christian explanation for these phenomena? Could someone explain what this non-materialistic Christian explanation is? Thanks.--British_cons (talk) 12:22, 26 June 2008 (EDT)
