Talk:Atheist deification of politics

Cons: Go to the William_Barr#Barbara_K._Olson_speech. I extracted portions of Barr's recent speech saying the Left has deified politics. Atheism leaves a person without hope in this world or the next, hence politics becomes a fanatical religion to them, with the political opposition becoming an enemy that must be destroyed. I wonder if there is the makings there of several articles, possibly Atheist deification of politics for example. I'd be willing to help if you want to develop Barr's recent theme. The key line is:
In any age, the so-called progressives treat politics as their religion. Their holy mission is to use the coercive power of the State to remake man and society in their own image
This is born from the Marxist basis of atheism - leaving man without hope in this world or the next. Politics becomes the ultimate reason for their existence, and a fight between what they perceive as "good" and "evil", where evil must be destroyed. This explains how single party control and totalitarianism comes into existence. Barr's speech is rich with current and timely ideas that can be developed and explored. What it boils down to basically is that the Left likes to make everything, most often having nothing to do with politics in the first place, political. Simple explanation, but it gets right to the gist. Northwest (talk) 00:52, 24 November 2019 (EST)
Barr put into words things I've been meaning to write about since the "Resistance" came into existence (actually, since Carville and Stephanopoulos ran their "War Room" against their fellow American citizens in 1992). I'm glad he linked the two - Marxist atheist doctrine with Democrats war rhetoric on American democracy and citizens. I pray this impeachment battle and upcoming election will be the final showdown with Democrat/Communist insurgents and subversives. RobSDe Plorabus Unum 01:59, 24 November 2019 (EST)

8.600 pageviews in the first 6 hours. Now the challenge is to keep the traffic coming and use page links to other fresh, timely spinoff articles on the same subject Barr kindled interest in without bloating the Main article. RobSDe Plorabus Unum 06:02, 24 November 2019 (EST)

Excellent performance for such a new article! --1990'sguy (talk) 08:46, 24 November 2019 (EST)
