Putin announced plans to establish railway transport links to Laos via China. This move would eliminate the need for bypassing Western-controlled routes and the Ho Chi Minh Trail. It's another step toward a multipolar trade order, linking the Arctic to ASEAN by rail. They'll probably drive a golden spike at the halfway point.
