Strategic thinking

Strategic thinking is "a type of thinking that focuses on identifying and analyzing critical factors and variables to achieve long-term success. It involves considering the "big picture," planning ahead, and making decisions based on potential outcomes and their impact on the organization."[1]

According to Harvard Business School: "Strategic thinking skills are any skills that enable you to use critical thinking to solve complex problems and plan for the future. These skills are essential to accomplish business objectives, overcome obstacles, and address challenges—particularly if they’re projected to take weeks, months, or even years to achieve."[2]
