Steven David “Steve” Daines (born August 20, 1962 (age 61)) is the junior Unites States Senator from Montana. He is a member of the Republican Party and was elected in November 2014.

Daines serves on the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources; the Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation; the Committee on Indian Affairs; and the Committee on Appropriations.

U.S. Senate

Daines Twitter account was suspended apparently because a hunting photo with a dead elk may have caused sexual arousal among liberals.[1]

Tenure

In January 2019, Daines announced he had created a pro-life caucus in the U.S. Senate.[2][3]

Despite having planned to object to the official "results" of the 2020 U.S. presidential election,[4] Daines later bailed out on conservatives and voted to certify the Biden "victory".[5] This was after paid protesters[6] and Antifa thugs[7] infiltrated a peaceful protest organized by Trump protesters, breaking their way into the United States Capitol Building.
