/* What? */ the evidence is that of an ocean basin. That's the starting point for any objective analysis. No river has ever been known to carve a shape like an ocean basin; but many have been formed
::::::::@Aschlafly, where did you get this "evidence" that the rivers have never corresponded to the shape of the Grand Canyon? The river moved all over the area, slowly eroding it away piece by piece. Nobody is claiming that it was eroded by a river the exact shape that it is now.--[[User:Jab512|Jab512]] 23:41, 12 August 2011 (EDT)

:::::::::Jab512, the evidence is that of an ocean basin. That's the starting point for any objective analysis. No river has ever been known to carve a shape like an ocean basin; but many have been formed by being submerged completely in water.--[[User:Aschlafly|Andy Schlafly]] 23:47, 12 August 2011 (EDT)
