/* Respect and temperament issues */ stick to Gibbs
After [[Rick Santelli]] criticized the administration's mortgage bailout on February 22, 2009, Gibbs "struck back with a level of poorly concealed fury and contempt." <ref>http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-blumer/2009/02/23/kudlow-santelli-push-back-hard-mortgage-mod-program-harder-gibbs</ref> Gibbs told Santelli during a White House press briefing to, "download it, hit print and begin to read it." According to Kudlow, Gibbs's remarks in this situation were an "unprecedented [[The White House|Whitehouse]] assault on a member of the media in good standing." Kudlow went on to say that there is a "freedom issue", "a respect issue", "a bullying issue", "Does this mean that is how this Whitehouse in an Obama administration is going to react to criticism from the media?", and "This is the worst Whitehouse press relations I've seen in my lifetime."<ref>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ7_ZzW1jJ4</ref>

Also in the fall of 2008, in the position of spokesperson for then candidate [[Barack Obama]], Gibbs accused [[Sean Hannity]] of being Anti-Semitic. Political liberals like [[Helen Thomas]], Christian liberals such as [[Jimmy Carter]], and now Gibbs, have a history of subtle, but appallingly reprehensible acts of Antisemitism.
