Most towns hold parades, as well as usually sponsoring safe fireworks shows. Some people hold re-enactments of [[Revolutionary War]] era events.
The [[American flag|Flag]] and symbols of it are in evidence everywhere, in this annual outpouring of [[patriotism]].
