Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) refers to nuclear, biological or chemical weapons so powerful that they can kill many thousands or even millions of people. The term was most commonly used as a justification for the [[American ]] [[Iraq War|invasion ]] of [[Iraq ]] in 2003 and the overthrow of [[Saddam Hussein]], who the United States' government Government [[Colin Powell|claimed ]] was building WMDs, an obvious threat to national security. This claim is now widely disputed, because the US currently has [[Gay Marriage|priorities ]] other than finding the WMDs.
