A native of Archbold in Fulton County in northwestern [[Ohio]], Ball graduated in 1993 from Archbold High School. His brother, Donald W. While in the [[United States Air Force]], he graduated from the Defense Information School of Broadcast Journalism. He is a former journalist for KSNV-TV, Channel 3 , the [[NBC]] affiliate in [[Las Vegas]], [[Nevada]], from which he was twice suspended and then dismissed at the age of thirty-seven.
