*Sam Linderman - Sarah's deceased husband (having passed away 13 years ago). Shown only in flashback scenes, he proposes once to Sarah but is rejected. After Sarah's Song becomes a hit and he hears how Sarah regrets having rejected him, he returns to Greer and proposes once again.
*Beth Baldwin - Sarah's caretaker at the nursing home. She decides to end her marriage as she is tired of her husband ignoring her. But after hearing Sarah's Song and the story behind it, she decides not to end the marriage after all.
*Robert "Bobby" Baldwin - Beth's husband and father to their daughter. Though he has been faithful to Beth, he has let their marriage grow cold, preferring to watch television instead of being the romantic of his early years. He realizes he is to blame for Beth's decision to leave and (after seeing a child leaving his father and an uninterested woman -- likely a new wife -- to get on a plane, thinking that the child was simply being passed between divorced parents, he realizes that he needs to take drastic action before his own marriage endsand this may be Brianna in the future).
*Brianna - Bobby and Beth's daughter.
*Mitch Mullins - a country singer with whom Sarah has sexual relations in hopes of advancing her career, only to realize he was using her.
