Silent Hill is a series of survival horror video games developed and published by Konami. The first four games were developed by an internal Konami team, Team Silent, which was disbanded after Silent Hill 4. Subsequent games were developed by external, largely western developers. The series, along with Resident Evil, were one of the primary influences for the survival horror genre.
