Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion is a process by which a gambler himself can request to be banned from all casinos and gaming centers. Tens of thousands of people ask to be "prohibited from collecting any winnings, recovering any losses or accepting complimentary gifts or services or any other thing of value at any licensed facility."[1]

In the U.K., all gambling houses must offer this option of self-exclusion.[2]

Some states post their self-exclusion list, while others have stopped publicizing it because the list is so large and so useful to opponents of gambling as direct, compelling evidence of how much harm gambling really causes.
