SeaMonkey is a free internet software suite. It offers Web-browser, advanced e-mail, newsgroup and feed client, IRC chat, and "HTML editing made simple" features. They refer to themselves as a continuation of a similar suite Netscape and Mozilla previously offered.[1]
Specifics
SeaMonkey is based on the open-source Mozilla Gecko engine, which is also used in Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird. Although separate projects, updates are exchanged between them. Also, the Mozilla Foundation provides hosting and legal backing for SeaMonkey.[2]
