Roosevelt (Rosey) Grier is a former National Football League player (defensive tackle) for both the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams (during their first run in the city).

Outside of football he is known for subduing Sirhan Sirhan who assassinated Robert F. Kennedy (Grier would later support Ronald Reagan for President in 1984) and for his pursuit of needlepoint and macrame, hobbies not traditionally associated with men.
