Ring-necked pheasant

The Ring-necked pheasant (Phasianus colchicus), called common pheasant in Europe, is a medium-sized game bird in the family Phasianidae. It is regarded as the type genus of the Phasianidae family.
The ring-necked pheasant's native range is most of Eurasia, but populations have been introduced to other countries, most notably North America. It is the state bird of South Dakota.
