Psalm 1 (commentary)
Psalm 1 is a short psalm which speaks of the rewards for following God's laws, rather that the ways of the ungodly.
| “ | (1)Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
(2) But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.[1] |

Those who stay clear of the advice and ways of the ungodly are blessed. Interestingly, those who do this, are assumed to delight in the law of the Lord. In this busy age, one may profess to be a Christian, but doesn't have time for God's word. However, one is expected to delight in, and meditate on, His word.
There is also a warning to the ungodly, and those who are tempted.

While this was written as a song, it still offers the reader a simple but powerful reminder to stay on "the streight and narrow" way.
