Portland is a city in Texas known for its relatively mind climate all year long. It sits on a 30–40 foot high bluff, overlooking Corpus Christi Bay. This city was named after Portland, Maine, because most of the stockholders of Portland, Texas' original businesses lived in Portland, Maine.[1] The city currently covers over 10 square miles, and was home to about 17,000 people in 2017.[2]
