The Pennsylvania Turnpike is the most expensive toll road in the world, costing drivers a whopping $112.91 to travel its entire length of 360 miles. A discount is available for those who use the electronic EZPass system.

It was America's first "superhighway" when it opened on October 1, 1940.[1]
