The Paschal Lamb was a lamb sacrificed at Passover by the Samaritans. It has its basis in the Book of Exodus, but Judean Jews did not continue this practice.
The Gospel of John uniquely refers to Jesus as the "Lamb of God," twice. Paul refers to Jesus as the Passover lamb only once at 1Corinthians 5:7 .
John's Book of Revelation refers to "lamb" 30 times, which is five times more than all of the other New Testament authors combined.
