Parti Liberal du Quebec

The Liberal Party of Québec (Officially Parti Liberal du Québec) is one of the three major parties in the Canadian Province of Québec and is currently in power.

Though named liberal, its ideology is much more conservative than liberal. It is one of two political parties in Québec that is center/center-right, the other being the Action démocratique du Québec. The party is led by Jean Charest, who was formerly the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. Charest has close ties with the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper.
