Nicodemus

Nicodemus was a Pharisee who belonged to the ruling Jewish body in Jerusalem, known as the Sanhedrin, during the time of Jesus.

The Gospel of John mentions him five times as he sought to understand the teachings by Jesus, and was sympathetic to Him. John recounts that Nicodemus visited Jesus at night, and assisted in His burial.
