NDAA 2023
From Conservapedia
The Fiscal 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) allocates $816.7 billion for the Department of Defense, but totaled $1.7 trillion overall in new spending. Its official title is the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023.
The bill is 4,155 pages long.[1]
The vote in the U.S. Senate to pass it was at 2pm on December 22, 2022.[2]
The House subsequently enacted it at 2pm on the following day, December 23, 2022.[3]
About half of the House cast their votes by proxy, shamelessly not showing up in person. The Wall Street Journal called them out for this.[4]
