Mossberg 930 is a popular 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun that is made in USA by Mossberg. The 930 is one of the best-selling semi-automatic shotguns and is particularly popular with hunters and skeet-shooters.

930 Variants
Mossberg manufactured three types of 930 shotguns:
- 930SPX: Civilian and police variant.
- 930 Blackwater: Military variant with bayonet lug
- 930 Jerry Miculek
930 Design
- The 930 is a gas operated system. This means that the burning of gunpowder creates hot gases which push a piston which operates the action, ejecting the spent hull and chambering a fresh shell. This gas action thus reduces the felt recoil.
- The 930 uses 2.75 or 3 inch shells
- It is common to add Picatinny rails for flashlights and lasers, muzzle brakes, and accessories for door breaching.
- All Mossberg shotguns have an ambidextrous safety that is found on the rear of the receiver.
