Microsoft Activision merger of 2022 is opposed by video game players because it would consolidate under one owner:

Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Minecraft, Doom, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Halo, and The Elder Scrolls.[1]

The FTC has sued to block the merger, arguing that "it would pose serious harm to competition in the video game industry, citing past behavior of Microsoft to prioritize Xbox and Windows PCs as platforms for its games."[1]
