Lucien Larre

Reverend Lucien Larre (pronounced Lar'ay) was born in 1933 and is a Canadian Catholic priest. He is best known for founding Bosco Homes, which operates care homes for disturbed and troubled children. He was awarded the Order of Canada in 1983, which is Canada's highest civil honor.

In July 2008, Revd. Larre returned his Order of Canada medal to the government in protest at the decision to honor Dr. Henry Morgentaler with the award. Dr. Morgentaler operates abortion clinics in Canada.
